The forearm shows just slide off of the tube, but it was stuck. Really stuck. And nothing else can be done to the shotgun without removing the forearm.
I made a plastic plug to protect the tube (more on this later).
Excessive hammering and I got it to move a little.
More hammering until my biceps swelled up to the size of Popeye’s.
I had to make a longer plastic drift.
Dang, still tight.
Finally got it back far enough to open the action up, but it’s still as tight as ever.
I removed some screws.
The only piece that sprang up was the power adjustment assembly.

The small rubber plug fell out that functions as the extractor stop. It fits in that recess.
